ACADEMIC COACHING FOR LISBON'S INTERNATIONAL-SCHOOL STUDENTS
Equipping your student with the skills, systems, and confidence to do their best work — independently.
IB & A-Level • Research & Academic Writing • Economics & Politics
Academic performance isn't just about knowing the material. Students learn and work differently, so I help them understand what's getting in the way and find practical strategies that make academic work more manageable.
Deep expertise in Economics and Politics, with teaching adapted to the way your student processes material best.
Extended Essays, EPQs, and major research projects, broken into achievable micro-stages from research question to final draft.
Personalized revision plans built around your student's strengths and working style, so exam season stops being an emergency.
Helping your student navigate UK, US, and international applications, develop a clear academic direction, and make a strong case for admission.
I'm a Lisbon-based educator and education researcher. For a decade, I evaluated education policy and programs at research institutions across the US, asking whether they delivered on what they promised.
That background changes how I coach. I start by getting clear on the goal, then track what's moving a student toward it and what's getting in the way. None of us has time to waste on the wrong problem, so I check in on progress often and change course the moment something isn't working.
A bright kid who won't start the essay, or who knows the material but freezes the moment it counts, is usually just afraid of getting it wrong. I know that pattern from peer-reviewed studies and from firsthand experience, so I work alongside students to find their own way through it.
